The View From My Lens

So many people tell me, "I had no idea you were a photographer!"

Well, actually my career has taken a few turns since I graduated college in...well, let's just say a few years ago :) My degrees are international business, marketing, and Spanish because my family said, "You'll be able to do that anywhere!"

Well, during the last days of my collegiate career, I met a wonderful man who is now my husband. He grew up in a small town, Philadelphia, Mississippi, and I knew it was important to him to return home to raise our family. So, we did!  In the back of my mind, I am thinking "Ok, what am I going to do in a small town with a degree in international business?" Apparently, you can do that ALMOST anywhere!  After seven years with a professional career we welcome our baby girl, Reese Caroline (my most favorite subject) into our lives.  I went back to work and lasted a whole two weeks! I knew my heart was at home, but I just couldn't give up my career altogether!

Luckily, I learned a wide range of skills while managing a small marketing department for a local company.  We were expected to do big things on a not always so big budget.  So, we all had to learn a little bit of everything...graphic design, web design, and yes, photography!  So, I started my own business from home doing all the things I LOVE to do!

I love to make things beautiful!  I love taking what is already naturally beautiful and putting my personal spin on it making it a timeless art piece to enjoy for generations! Wow, it just doesn't get any better than that for me!

It's amazing how the road of life leads you in so many directions, each bringing the slightest hint of perfection to our Maker's plan for our lives!  I love to look back every so often and reflect on how the smallest situations in life have molded and shaped me into the friend, wife, mother and now business owner I am today.  I thank each of you for your support and for sharing special family moments with me!  I am honored to be there to catch the smiles, laughs, tears and joy that each session may bring!  I hope that the memories you make, the ones in a frame and otherwise, will last a lifetime!
